Meteoroids, meteors and meteorites are the names given to a space object at three locations relative to the Earth's atmosphere. Meteoroids are space objects that are floating around outside of Earth's atmosphere. Meteors are the streak of light you see as a space object enters Earth's atmosphere and burns up. Meteorites are the lucky space objects that survive Earth's atmosphere and make it all the way to the ground usually as small particles or pebbles but sometimes larger. Read all about it here.
